SEO Is Dead
I don’t want to search, I just want the answer.
Every time we see another announcement about a tech company laying people off while increasing its AI investments, a little fear creeps in. We’ve been talking about AI for years, but we’re seeing a rapid change in how it’s being used. Now, people of all ages integrate AI into daily life: asking it for restaurant recommendations, help writing emails, planning trips, even advice on relationships and career decisions.
AI is making many parts of our lives easier, yes. But for people working in tech, marketing, law, engineering, and other knowledge-based professions, there’s also a growing need to stay current with the rapidly evolving AI tools and workflows.
But sometimes staying on top of every update and new feature can feel a little overwhelming, especially when you’re running a business, working late hours, and keeping a full life.
For us, yes, we’re trying to stay on top of the latest iterations of Claude, Codex, Gemini… (insert AI platform), and from a business standpoint, we’ve realized we need to start rebuilding our clients’ sites to ensure they’re AI-visible. In other words, that these AI platforms can understand the business’s site and then recommend it to a relevant audience.
Recently, we had an AI review our own website for visibility, and the results were honestly disappointing. So we spent the next few weeks rebuilding it: refining the layout, simplifying the structure, improving the copy, adjusting the animation, clarifying our services, and making the site easier for both people and AI systems to understand.
That process led us to what we’re now calling the BeMinded GEO Score.
GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization. Our BeMinded GEO Score is our own evaluation framework that measures how visible, understandable, trustworthy, and emotionally clear a business appears to AI systems. It’s our proprietary analysis because it not only measures technical performance but also takes into account the values, originality, voice, and emotional resonance of both the business and the people behind it.
A strong GEO score means your business is easier for AI platforms to understand and recommend. But just as importantly, it means your website is clearer and more meaningful for the people reading it, too.
The BeMinded GEO score looks at things like:
clear and understandable messaging
originality of visuals and storytelling
accessibility and readability
structured content and organization
trust and consistency
whether your brand feels emotionally resonant and distinct
Being original is more important than ever. If everyone uses the same prompts, the same templates, and the same AI-generated language, everything starts sounding the same. The businesses that will continue standing out will be the ones that are both distinct and clear about who they are, what they believe, and why people should care.
This week, we’re beginning to offer AI-ready website reviews and builds as part of our services. To start, we’ll review your site and provide a complimentary BeMinded GEO Score along with recommendations for improvement.
If you’re interested in learning how visible your business is to AI systems, or simply want to better understand where all of this is heading, please reach out. We’d love to hear from you.
